Here are answers to several frequently asked questions. If you question is not included, please don't hesitate to contact us so we can get your question answered.
WHAT FEES ARE ASSOCIATED WITH DANCE CLASS?
Dance has two sessions: Summer Session (June/July) and Fall Session (August/September thru June). Fees associated with the Fall Session is a registration fee, a yearly tuition fee broken into monthly payments, a costume fee for each type of dance performed in the year end showcase, and a showcase fee for the showcase in June. There are also optional fees which include: a showcase program book, showcase DVD, a finale t-shirt for the last number in the show, advanced sale tickets for seats to the showcase, and individual and group picture fees. Fees associated with the Summer Session for dance class or summer camp is a registration fee and summer tuition. All fees are collected via automatic credit card or automatic draft from a bank account on the 15th of the month unless paid a different method before that date.
WHAT FEES ARE AUTOMATIC DRAFTED AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
All dance fees are posted to the family account on the 1st of the month. The fees for that month are then drafted or charged on the 15thof the month. You can review the posted charges through your ‘customer portal’ vis the website or app for accuracy. If you wish to pay in a different method than the draft, you may pay by check or cash at the front office before the 15th of each month.
WHAT IS THE COSTUME FEE AND WHAT IS IT FOR?
Costumes are for the end of the year performance in June. Costumes are ordered per class for each child participating in the year-end showcase. If your student is in a combo class (Jazz / Tap), then they will have two dance numbers with one costume per dance in the showcase. Students are measured in October for their costume(s). This year the costume fee is used to pay the balance in November to ensure they will arrive in time for pictures and the showcase. Costume fees are allocated the moment they are drafted and are non-refundable.
WHAT IS THE SHOWCASE?
The Showcase is a performance on stage at the end of the dance year. The showcase is the time when your dancer is able to showcase what they have mastered throughout the year. The showcase is typically held on the first weekend in June and is proceeded by a tech rehearsal and a dress rehearsal for the big day. Participation in the showcase is required unless the student is in a non-showcase class. Through performing on stage with friends, a student gains confidence, self-expression, and will become more comfortable with handling new situations transitions in their lives. Students registering on a non-showcase basis will be charged according to the draft schedule from the time of registration through May.
WHAT IS THE SHOWCASE FEE AND WHAT DOES THAT COVER?
The Showcase fee is used to produce the show at the end of the dance year in June. The showcase fee is used to pay for the rehearsals and performance days for the venue, the DVD Production Company, music, special effects, lighting, stage crew, and years of dance awards for all dancers participating. Due dates for the Showcase fee and Showcase related optional fees (such as finale t-shirts, recital program books and advanced tickets / seat vouchers, advanced purchase of DVD) are notated on the draft schedule. Recital fees are allocated the moment they are drafted and are non-refundable.
DO I GET TICKETS TO THE SHOWCASE?
Yes! For your convenience, tickets are included in the showcase fee. Families with one student participating in the recital will receive 4 total ticket vouchers. Families with additional students will receive 2 additional tickets with each additional student. The option to purchase more tickets is also available when you choose your seating for the included tickets.
DO YOU OFFER INDIVIDUAL DANCE PICTURES?
Yes we do! Picture week takes place sometime in March/April, based on the photographer's schedule. The package pricing is set by the photographer and we work on getting high quality and reasonable pricing for the area.
WHAT IF I'M UNCERTAIN REGARDING CLASSES FOR WHICH I SHOULD REGISTER?
No problem! The easiest (and best) course of action is to register first and foremost by the age of the student regardless of years of dance or upcoming birthdays. During the first month, should we feel the student should be moved to another class we will contact you. However, if you are still uncertain in any way regarding classes, we'd love to assist you! WHAT IF I'M UNSURE IF MY DANCER WILL LIKE DANCE CLASS? SHOULD I SIGN UP FOR THE RECITAL AND INCUR COSTUME AND RECITAL FEES?
Every new student is given a complementary class pass to try all classes for their age once. You can register as a trial on line or complete the complementary pass form and our office staff will contact you to schedule.
How does the waitlist work?
During the course of registration, our classes can become full. For this reason, we provide a waitlist on which you may put your dancer! In order to place your dancer on a waitlist, you must go through the normal registration process. The only difference is that there is no charge to register as a waitlister. However, if a spot becomes available in the class, as a convenience to you, Infuse Dance will notify you via email, put the waitlisted student into the class, and charge the payment form on file. At any time before class enrollment, should you wish to withdraw the student from the waitlist, please contact the office.
WHAT IS THE approximate YEARLY TOTAL FOR ONE STUDENT IN ONE RECITAL CLASS?
The typical financial yearly breakdown for one student in one recital class is shown below. This includes the following:
$50 - Once per season per child
Tuition is on a monthly basis and is calculated by # of hours a student takes a week and can be found on our pricing page.
For every additional sibling is a cumulative 15% discount (15% for 1st sibling, 30% for 2nd sibling, etc.)
* Students in combo classes perform two dances in recital and therefore need two costumes.
